Minutes from the 21 May 2001 PAC meeting
We discussed changing the infrastructure of PAC by having traditional offices. We enumerated a list of PAC duties and then delegated each duty to a
specific office. See below.
Below is a list of duties of PAC:
- Coordinate lab manuals
- Manage PAC money and accounts
- Plan event (field trips, colloquia)
- Faculty/student liaison
- Outreach/recruitment
- H bar management
- Benefits coordinator (scholarships, etc.)
- Graduation events
- Construction and upkeep of PAC web site
- Student System Administrator
- Resources (alumni connections)
- Archivist
PAC offices were constructed and given specific duties and people were nominated for office. Please see below:

these are just rough sketches of PAC officer duties and are subject to change.

IMPORTANT: We will hold PAC elections via an email ballot. All votes will be due by June 2, 2001. You may email them to mrigmaiden@yahoo.com, and copy all votes to barbjn@stars.sfsu.edu.
PAC's fiscal state was discussed. All of us agreed to transfer PAC funds to the CAL STATE 9 Credit Union on campus. How we spend PAC money will be
decided after election of officers and by a group consensus.
Expanding the scope of PAC to include outreach, setting up scholarship funds, trips and undergraduate colloquia was discussed. Everyone agreed that
these were important ideas. However, they will be solidified after officers are elected and by a group consensus.
A student system administrator was discussed and Dipanjan Ray agreed to these duties. Candace Partridge is a web designer and agreed to help construct
an improved PAC web page.
Next Meeting planned for May 22, 2001 at 4PM. This is informal. And for people that could not make the meeting on May 21, 2001.
