Astronomy 115 Spring 2000 Extra Credit

You can do 2 different extra credits per semester. 1 before the 2nd exam and 1 after spring break and before the final. Your extra credit work will NOT be returned. Each extra credit will be worth 10 points but you must do a good job to get all the credit!! Ask if you have any questions.

 

  1. Attend a show at the SFSU planetarium on Tuesday nights at 7pm or another planetarium Write a 1 page report about what you saw and learned. You must have a ticket stub from the show attached to your report.
  2.  

  3. Go to the SFSU Observatory and make an observation of 3 objects. Draw them and write a brief report about what they are and what you saw. You must have your sketch signed by the attending astronomer.
  4.  

  5. Read an article about astronomy in a magazine or newspaper. Write a brief summary of the article and attach the article to your report.
