BIO
My dad got me my first camera when I was 20 old, after having completed one year of photo classes at Shawnee State University (Protsmouuth, Ohio... don't ask). And despite not being allowed to take anymore photo classes when I returned to San Francisco State ("get outta here, physics major! We have no room for you!"), I've been taking photos ever since. I am graduating this May with a degree in Physics, a minor in Math, and itching to spend much more time on photography.
PHOTO INFO
Most of the images on this site are form scanned 4x6 prints. Not the ideal way to represent my work (dust, scratches, fingerprints, etc...), but as I am a full time student until May, I really haven't had time to scan all these negatives. The Thailand shots, however, are all from beautiful high rez. negative scans. While on my Zion trip I swung through LA and used Lea Anna Drown's equipment. Well worth the time and effort. Thanks again, Lea Anna.
I use Photoshop to clean up my images. This is especially important when I'm scanning prints that have not been printed correctly, or were damaged from sitting around my room in some random stack for so long. I do not use Photoshop to "doctor" the images beyond that. I also crop about 10% - 15% of my images. Not a huge majority by any stretch, but it does happen. I'm not a purest; if a photo looks better cropped, I'm going to crop it.
PURCHACE
All the images on this site are for sale. Just send me an email with the file name and the size and I let you know how much, and when you can expect to receive it. This is the first version of the site so I hope you comeback and check it out as I continue to improve it and add more sections and photos.
