This term I am teaching
lecture and lab courses in General Physics along with a Calculus Supplement
course for General Physics at both Skyline
College in San Bruno and at College of
Marin (COM) in Kentfield, CA. At COM I am also teaching a course in
Astronomy.
I am not teaching at SFSU
this term (Spring 2007), but I am still involved in research. My Current research is in collaboration
with Dr. Pete Palmer of the SFSU Chemistry
department. We are involved in the development and improvement of mass
spectrometers for a wide variety of applications.
Dr. Palmer and I are also
currently involved as scientific consultants for a community coalition
concerned with the environmental remediation of Hunters Point Naval Shipyard
and former site of the Naval Radiological Defense Laboratory.
I have also previously been
engaged in research as a Visiting Scientist at SRI
International.
I have an eclectic variety
of research interests, however my primary research interests are in the
application of Physics to Environmental problems.
