Today I am looking at data from a resistor string intended to
measure thermal gradients in the Bay and Delta. It consists of nine
PT-100 thermistors, connected in series with a current source. The
thermistors are mounted in a 1-1/4" PVC pipe, spaced a foot apart. Joe
Adolfo built much of the electronics and helped with the LabView data
acquisistion program.
There are two data files now. Both represent measurements with the
thermistor string hanging near the ceiling in the lab (TH 208):
