Special Problem 1. Consider the quantum-mechanical description of the hydrogen atom, with states described by the quantum numbers n, l, m_l, and m_s.

(a) What physical property of the hydrogen atom corresponds to each of these four quantum numbers?
(b) Make a table listing each of the possible different sets of values of l, m_l, and m_s, for states with n = 2.

Special Problem 2. Consider the so-called "hydrogenic atom" consisting of a helium atom with one of its electrons completely removed. Calculate the energy of the state of this one-electron system with n = 2.
