  • Interactive Data Language (IDL) -- Programming language for scientific calculation and graphic data analysis
  • Mathematica is an interactive system for doing mathematical computation. It handles numerical, graphic, and symbolic calculations, and it incorporates a high-level programming language which allows the user to define his own procedures.
  • Matlab handles numerical calculations and high-quality graphics, provides a convenient interface to built-in state-of-the-art subroutine libraries, and incorporates a high-level programming language.
  • Minsq is a program for computing a non-linear least-squares fit.
