    Reservation Information (updated 02.18.2008)

The Charles F. Hagar Planetarium offers programs for visiting school groups.  Planetarium shows are generally held on Thursday mornings, starting between 9:30am and 1:00pm.  Show duration is ~1hr.  School shows are free to students but we gladly accept donations to assist in the upkeep of this service to the Bay-area community.

We are currently not open on weekends or holidays but we do now offer a public show on a few Fridays of each  month at 12:00pm.

    Guidelines for visitors:
  • If In Use light is on, that means show has started and we can not admit any additional people.
  • Scheduled school shows must arrive on time due to several shows being scheduled back-to-back.  If you are late you must call us.  If group is late more than 20 minutes with no communication, show will be cancelled.
  • We advise taking children to the restroom (located down the hall) before entering.  Opening the doors during show will blind other patrons who are enjoying the show.
  • We are not a baby-sitting service.  We have a zero-tolerance policy towards violence.
  • We are disabled person accesible.
  • Children under 4 are generally not advised.
  • Please turn off your cell phone, bluetooth devices, video games, blackberries before entering. No light-up shoes allowed.
  • Relax, enjoy yourself and bring questions!

We are now scheduling for summer 2008, spring is now completely booked!  School group and public schedule located below is updated weekly.  If a time says busy that means it is already taken.  Public Show means you do not need a reservation, though seats are first come, first serve.   No entry after show has started. Call 415-338-6164 for more details, please leave your full name and phone with area code if you need a call back.
