Telescope Specifications


The SFSU Observatory houses four telescopes and is open to the public three nights per week during the fall and spring semesters.  Please note that the Observatory is closed on weekends, school holidays and during finals week. 

Free and open to all students, staff, and the public.

Winter Schedule

The observatory is closed for the winter break. Open observatory nights will start again in the spring. Please check this schedule again at the start of the spring semester.

The last scheduled open night of the fall semester was Thursday, Dec 3.

We are located in Thornton Hall.
Take the elevator to the 9th floor and follow the signs.

 Note: Please dress warmly! The observatory can be quite windy and cold.
