Telescope Specifications

The SFSU Observatory houses four telescopes and is open to the public three nights per week during the fall and spring semesters.  Please note that the Observatory is closed on weekends, school holidays and during finals week. 

Free and open to all students, staff, and the public.

Fall 2015 Schedule

On clear nights, the Observatory will be open for public viewing on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. The hours are as follows:

September: 7:30 - 9:45 pm
October: 7:00 - 9:30 pm
November 6:00 - 8:30 pm
December: 6:00 - 8:30 pm

The last scheduled open night of the semester will be Thursday, Dec 3.

Please check with the Observatory Facebook page or telephone to confirm that weather conditions are good enough.

We are located in Thornton Hall.
Take the elevator to the 9th floor and follow the signs.
