Hello Professor Bland:
  How are you?!  I hope that you are very well.  I have been wanting to
write to you for a while now but I got sick for a week and then was
working very hard to catch up for the week after.
  Last semester went well for me, I received an A- for my first semester
of Jackson and an A- for Quantum Field Theory.  Research is going well, we
are writting a technical note on neutrino oscillations and now I am to add
'matter effects' onto the data to see how oscillations are affected.  As
you said before, eventhough the group was not sure that it could support
me through the spring semester, I am still obtaining full support with no
problem.  I am a bit tired but still happy and since the sun is setting
later and later each day my spirits are lifting each time a bit more from
the cold winter days.
