Registration in Physics Labs: Physics 222, 232 and 242
In recent semesters some students have attempted to reserve a space in
physics classes by enrolling in the lab section only during EPR. This
practice has caused massive disruption to the registration process. Thus,
starting with Fall 2010, we will not allow registration in the concurrent
lab classes until FPR. For Fall 2012, please follow the instructions below.
Physics 220
The lecture is scheduled for MWF 10:10-11:00 in SCI 201. Please sign
up for the lecture during EPR. You will need to pass the math readiness
test
to remain enrolled in this class. Math 226 (Calculus I) with a grade of C or better is prerequisite to this class.
Please enroll in a lab section AFTER
enrolling in the lecture. Labs will be available for enrollment during FPR.
If you are not able to enroll in the lecture, please do not enroll
in the lab, but do sign up for the wait list for the lecture. You
will be contacted and given instructions for how to take the readiness test.

Physics 230

up for the lecture during EPR. Please enroll in a lab section AFTER
enrolling in the lecture. Math 227 (Calculus II) with a grade of C or better is prerequisite to this class.
Labs will be available for enrollment during FPR.
If you are not able to enroll in the lecture, please do not enroll
in the lab. Students enrolling in the lab but not the lecture will
be dropped as soon as the registrar permits.

Physics 240
Physics 240 is scheduled for 0935-1050 TuTh in SCI 210. Please sign
up for the lecture during EPR. Please enroll in a lab section AFTER
enrolling in the lecture. Math 227 (Calculus II) with a grade of C or better is prerequisite to this class.
Labs will be available for enrollment during FPR.
If you are not able to enroll in the lecture, please do not enroll
in the lab. Students enrolling in the lab but not the lecture will
be dropped as soon as the registrar permits.

Pay lab fees
online with credit card (MasterCard, American Express, and Discover) or electronic check. The third-party vendor contracted by SF State charges a convenience fee of 2.5% for credit card transactions or $0.50 for electronic check transactions. The convenience fee will be added to the total payment amount.

b. Login and select “Additional Fees”
c. From the Fee Category pull-down menu select :PHYSICS LAB FEES”
d. From the Fee Description pull-down menu select the appropriate class
e. Complete the payment process.
The on-line system does not accept VISA. If you cannot pay on-line, please obtain a payment slip from
your lab instructor or from the department office, pay at the cashier's office, and return your receipt to your instructor.
Students with unpaid lab fees will not obtain a grade for the class until the fee is paid.
